Tenable Discussion Forums

Large-pic

Tenable has been operating a new “Discussions Forums” web site for all Nessus users and Tenable customers. The forum is located at https://discussions.nessus.org/. It offers the following discussion areas:

  • Announcements
  • Nessus : Scanning
  • Nessus : Reports
  • Nessus : Advanced
  • Nessus : Compliance Checks (*)
  • Nessus : Feature Requests, Bug Reports
  • Security Center (*)
  • Log Correlation Engine (*)
  • Passive Vulnerability Scanner (*)

(*) – Customer access only

Anyone can register for access to the forum. Those registering for the Discussions Forum with the same email address that they use at the Tenable Customer Support Portal will automatically gain access to the commercial discussion topics.

All discussion forums and specific topic threads have options for subscription via email or RSS feeds.
For privacy, users can interact with each other without posting their email address. Although an email address is required to set up your account, it is not displayed to other users.

All discussions can have images, URLs, rich text and files attached to them to better describe issues or pose questions. This makes sharing screen shots, Nessus audit policies, Nessus scan polices and other types of content very easy.

The discussion forums are monitored by Tenable and give us a great opportunity to interact with both HomeFeed and ProfessionalFeed users. Developers, QA, support and management all contribute to discussions to better assist you.

Lastly, the Discussion Forums complement the official Tenable product and content updates published via RSS. Frequently, when we do a content release, such as a new audit policy or a point release for a bug fix, we will comment on this with more content in the form of a discussion.
