Jack’s PVS Installation and Configuration Advice

Note: Passive Vulnerability Scanner (PVS) is now Nessus Network Monitor. To learn more about this application and its latest capabilities, visit the Nessus Network Monitor web page.

Jack Daniel’s new video guides you through getting PVS up and running quickly for both Linux and Windows. This video covers installing PVS on a stand alone host and how to setup a connection to SecurityCenter. After installation Jack demonstrates the configuration options available.

Some of our recent PVS customers have commented on the ease of installation, so don't be shy and try it for yourself:

“Installation is a walk in the park!”

- Technical Services Manager, International Information Technology and Services company

“Within the first few hours of operation PVS assisted us in identifying transient and BYOD assets which are not compliant with our security policies.”

- IT Manager of a U.S. southern state university veterinary center

Before you begin installation of PVS, you’ll need to download the installer for your OS from the Tenable Support Portal and have the activation code or license file from the support portal or your sales contact.
